In our often chaotic and uncertain times, we knew we needed to create a safe place for women to find support, encouragement and prayer. A place where, in a world that is growing increasingly disconnected, they could find community. To know they belong. And thus, our private Facebook community was born.
We started with a couple hundred women, many of whom had been displaced during the Paradise California fires, and have now grown to a family of nearly 740. And yet, despite the growth, by God’s grace, and with the prayerful commitment and love of our amazing social media hosting team, this safe space had remained connected. Women share their struggles, ask for prayer, pray for one another. It’s been a beautiful thing to see.
Our social media hosts are diverse in backgrounds, passions, and perspectives. But they have two things in common: They love Jesus, and they have a heart for seeing women experience freedom in Him.
Meet our social media hostesses!
Sonia Salfity sees her primary role as someone who encourages others to see the miracle in the mess.
If she can have just one person see God’s light in the darkness and discover His goodness in the hard places of their lives, then her mission has been accomplished!
It’s easy to see God when everything is going well for us but not so easy to trust Him and his goodness when things don’t appear to be going well.
When asked what she loved most about her role as social media host, she said, “It stretches me to trust God more and rely fully on Him and what He has to bring to our table instead of expecting myself to bring something that will never satisfy our hungry souls! I love this opportunity to come to God surrendering myself and asking Him to fill our cups overflowing with His presence and His unmatched wisdom.”
Sonia’s favorite verse comes from Exodus 33:14, which states, “The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'”
Yuki Johnson loves to love on and encourage the women in our community. She says, “Times have been tough for so many and sometimes it’s difficult to see beyond the moment but our God has incredible things planned for us and it’s my mission to share the light and love of God.”
She loves sharing God sightings and aha moments that provide a view of who He is and how truly amazing His love for us is. Her hope is that women would find themselves falling deeper in love with Jesus. And that the words of her mouth and meditations of her heart would be pleasing to God and nurturing to our souls.

Shellie Arnold serves in so many ways, from social media hostess, to content editor, speaker, podcaster, board member … She invests in our ministry in so many areas, it might be easier to discuss where she doesn’t serve! On the board, she feels her primary role is to pray for the ministry, then listen and advise as we grow and expand.
Outside of her husband, she’s also perhaps Jennifer’s greatest supporter and cheerleader. Every ministry leader needs a Shellie Arnold!
As a social media host on Tuesdays in the Facebook group, her role is to encourage and initiate discussion within the group, then respond as needed when comments are posted. Her love and deep compassion for women is evident in everything she shares.
As a writer and editor, her role is to enhance effective communication on the page. She also helps her writing and speaking teammates evaluate how their content might be interpreted by women from numerous experiences and demographics.
As a speaker and podcaster, she connects with our audience, sharing what God has asked her to share with transparency and vulnerability.
She asked about her experience in all of her diverse roles, she said, “I most enjoy when what I have shared, written, or spoken helps and ministers to the women I encounter, giving hope, encouragement, or even a challenge in their faith.”
Ultimately, she hopes women gain more insight, a deeper perspective, and permission to be vulnerable when talking with other women. “We need fellowship and sisterhood,” she said.
She loves knowing her words, prayers, and actions impact others. I have received messages on Facebook including positive feedback on devotionals I have written,” she said. “And within the group, I have received many “thank yous” for sharing.”
Her favorite verse comes from Isaiah 1:18, 19, which states, “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.”
Speaking of this verse, she said, “I love knowing God will even discuss my sin and mistakes with me when I approach Him with a willingness to learn and be obedient in the future.”
